3pig is a 3-player Go-Stop site. This page lists the active 3-player rules and overrides used in this app.
Core format
- Exactly 3 human players are required.
- A room starts only after all 3 players have joined.
- Each player is dealt 7 cards.
- 6 cards are placed face-up on the table.
- The remaining cards form the draw pile.
- Turn order proceeds counter-clockwise.
Winning threshold
- A player must reach at least 3 points to become eligible to win.
- When a player reaches 3 or more points, they must choose Go or Stop.
- Stop ends the round immediately.
- Go continues the round with increased payout risk.
Scoring
- 3 brights = 3 points.
- 4 brights = 5 points.
- 5 brights = 15 points.
- 5 animals = 1 point, plus 1 point for each additional animal.
- Godori scores 5 points.
- 5 ribbons = 1 point, plus 1 point for each additional ribbon.
- Hongdan, Cheongdan, and Chodan each score 3 points.
- 10 junk = 1 point, plus 1 point for each additional junk.
- The 12th month junk card counts as 2 junk.
Special rules
- Ppeok happens when a played card matches a table month and the flipped card is also of that same month.
- In Ppeok, the player does not keep the capture and the three same-month cards remain on the table.
- Ja-Ppeok is when a player later reclaims the month from their own earlier Ppeok.
- In this ruleset, Ja-Ppeok has no bonus and no penalty.
- Ssaksseuri happens when a player clears all table cards in one resolved action.
- For Ssaksseuri, each other player gives one random captured junk card if they have one.
Go penalty
- If a player declares Go and another player later wins, the Go caller pays double the final winner payout.
- The Go loser penalty is 2× the final winner payout.
